Acclaimed writer Warren Ellis (NEXTWAVE) and superstar artist Salvador Larroca (X-MEN) bring you this new universe — a universe witnessing superhuman power for the first time.

Devi
It was the second century of mankind's arrival on earth
when the Gods of Light took up on arms against one of their own.
Bala, a fallen God, had rejected the old ways of the Pantheon
and sought to impose his dominion over man.
Feeding off the forced worship of men, Bala had grown
too powerful for the Pantheon to take him on alone
So the pure Gods each sacrificed a part of themselves,
to create a powerful entity.
She is Devi.
Ok, I'm a Marvel zombie, but it's nice to discover now and then other comics, specially when what you discover is as good as Devi. In this case, the comic I want to talk about is one of the newest releases by Virgin comics.
Created by Shekhar Kapur, this serie is written by Siddharth Kotian, with art by Mukesh Singh. They are all Indians, I think, and thus the way to tell the story may be a bit different to what we are used in the west, but, believe me, all them are every bit as good as other very reputated artists.
The story so far (7 issues have been published) is that Bala has returned, and he is seeking for some crafts that will allow him to recover his full power. But Devi has returned also. With some mortal humans and some powerful creatures involved, the action, the blood and the betrayal are guaranteed.
A very good story, a very good art... I don't know what are you waiting to get it!!
Savage Red Sonja - Queen of the Frozen Wastelands
Savage Red Sonja - Queen of the Frozen Wastelands is a comic written and drawed by Frank Cho, and published by Dynamite Entertainment at the end of last year.
They are going to edit a TPB collecting al 4 issues in may, so you are still to get this serie in paper.
Sonja is bounty-hunting a horde of vikings, when she passed out fighting their berserker. When she recovers consciusness, she is captive of the Queen of the Frozen Wastelands, who commands and army of yetis and neanderthal-men, and enslaves all other human beings she come across with.
She plan to use Sonja to breed a new race, but our red have other things in mind.
The story is anything but original, with this 'I don't want to be a slave' thing. It is properly written, though, and the comic has the right dose of bloodshed and violence.
The pencils are as good as Cho have us used to (no wonder this poor girl hates the cold, though), and is, as a whole, a more than recommendable lecture. 8/10
High speed movies
Usually movies are recorded at 25 frames per second. That's why 'slow motion' looks so... 'faltering'. But take a look at these short movies, recorded with special hi-speed cameras... up to 7300 fps!! You can even see the air moving!!
The are all amazing, but specially the explosions, and the girl with the machine gun.
Enjoy.
A disfrutar.

Monster War
Even though I'm a real Marvel zombie, I like to read some other stuff now and then. And I recently discovered a crossover between Dynamite monsters and Top Cow heroes, called Monster War.
With story by Christopher Golden and Tom Sniegowski, and pencils by Joyce Chin and Vitor Ishimura, this limited serie of 4 issues tells how Dr. Jekyll has been able, at last, to split himself from Mr. Hyde. But Mr. Hyde has his own agenda, and with the help of Dracula, Frankenstein's monster and the Wolf-Men, he intends to open a gate to bring Hell to Earth.
Dr. Jekyll, Lara Croft, Magdalena, Witchblade and The Darkness will do all that is in their hands to stop them.
These comics were published originally in 2005, but recently Dynamite Entertainment has published a TPB collecting all 4 issues that I'm sure will be more easy to find for all of you. Beside, you always have the scan option.
Anyway, I strongly recommend you the lecture of this comics. The story is very good, and so are the draws. I assure you a very good time.
